Toll Management

Toll Management

Toll Management protects drivers from unpaid toll violations and enables free-flow travel on US toll roads. The service uses license plate recognition and/or a toll transponder to automatically detect and pay tolls on your behalf. Your fleet manager receives a single consolidated monthly bill rather than managing multiple tolling agencies.

Note: Check your fleet's service passport to confirm enrollment in Toll Management. If your vehicle has been assigned a toll transponder, you must keep it in your vehicle at all times.

How it works

  1. Your vehicle is enrolled with US tolling authorities using its license plate number and VIN.

  2. When you drive through a toll, the system detects the toll using license plate recognition technology and/or your transponder.

  3. The toll is automatically paid on your behalf.

  4. Your fleet manager receives one consolidated monthly bill covering all tolls across all enrolled vehicles.

You do not need to stop, pay manually, or keep receipts for tolls. The service handles it automatically.

Transponders

Some fleets are assigned physical toll transponders for certain road networks. If you have been assigned a transponder:

  • Keep it in your vehicle at all times. Remove it only if specifically instructed to do so.

  • The transponder is assigned to your vehicle and should not be transferred to another vehicle or used in personal vehicles.

  • If your transponder is lost, damaged, or stolen, notify your fleet manager immediately.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to do anything when I go through a toll?

No β€” the system handles payment automatically. Just drive through. If your vehicle has a transponder, keep it visible in your vehicle.

What if I receive a toll violation notice or bill in the mail?

Do not pay it out of pocket. Forward it to your fleet manager immediately. The program is designed to prevent this from happening, but if a notice arrives, your fleet manager and Inspiration can work to resolve it.

What toll roads are covered?

The program covers US toll roads and toll authorities. Coverage is nationwide. For specific questions about a particular road or state, contact your fleet manager.

What happens if I use a toll road in a personal vehicle or an unenrolled vehicle?

The Toll Management program only covers enrolled fleet vehicles. Personal vehicle tolls are your responsibility.

Does Toll Management cover parking fees or congestion charges?

Typically, no β€” the service is designed for toll road usage only. Confirm with your fleet manager if you have questions about specific charges.
