Public Charging Payment Card & Bluedot App
Some fleets provide drivers with a way to pay for public charging sessions without using personal funds. Depending on your fleet's enrollment, this may be an Inspiration Mastercard payment card (accepted at any public charger that accepts Mastercard) or access to the Bluedot app (which maps and pays for chargers within the app directly).
Note: Check your fleet's service passport to confirm which payment method your fleet uses — the card, the Bluedot app, or both. If you haven't received your card or app access, contact your fleet manager.
Which method does my fleet use?
Your fleet's service passport specifies whether you have been issued a payment card, Bluedot app access, or both. If you're unsure, check with your fleet manager.
Inspiration Mastercard payment card: A physical or virtual card accepted at any public charging network that accepts Mastercard. This includes ChargePoint, EVgo, Electrify America, Blink, and most other networks. Check your onboarding materials to confirm whether Tesla Superchargers are included for your fleet.
Bluedot app: A fleet-managed app that maps all public chargers accessible to your fleet and handles payment directly through the app. If you have Bluedot access, you do not need separate charging network apps — all accessible chargers are visible within Bluedot.
Finding public chargers
If you use the Bluedot app: All accessible public chargers are mapped within the app. Use it to find the nearest available station.
If you use the Inspiration Mastercard card: You can use any of the following apps to locate public chargers near you:
PlugShare — covers a wide range of networks: plugshare.com
Electrify America — for Electrify America stations: electrifyamerica.com/mobile-app
EVgo — for EVgo stations: evgo.com/download-app
ChargePoint — for ChargePoint stations: chargepoint.com/drivers/mobile
Allowable expenses
Your payment card or app should be used only for public EV charging sessions for your fleet vehicle. Review your company's policy documents for specific spending guidelines, including any daily limits on the number of sessions.
Do not use the card or app for personal charging, non-EV transactions, or any purpose not related to charging your fleet vehicle.
Frequently asked questions
Which charging stations can I use with the Mastercard?
The Inspiration Mastercard can be used at any public charging network that accepts Mastercard. Refer to your onboarding instructions for whether Tesla Superchargers are included for your fleet.
How many times per day can I use the card or app?
Refer to your company's policy documents or check with your fleet manager. Usage limits are set by your fleet, not by Inspiration.
What do I do if my card or the Bluedot app isn't working?
First, confirm you're using it only for authorized transactions at a public charger and that you're within your fleet's spending guidelines. Then check that the charger itself is functioning. Try a different charger or charging station.
If the problem persists, use the help channel in the app or the number on the back of your card. You can also contact the Inspiration Contact Center (number in your fleet passport).
What do I do if I lose my payment card?
Notify your fleet manager or administrator immediately so the card can be deactivated and a replacement arranged. Do not attempt to use a lost card.
Can I use the card for home charging or charging at work?
No. The card is intended for public charging only. Home charging reimbursement is handled through a separate program (see the Home Charging Reimbursement article). Workplace charging policies are set by your employer.
I accidentally used the card for a non-charging purchase. What do I do?
Notify your fleet manager immediately and follow your company's expense policy for reporting unauthorized purchases.
